SeatGeek Partners with Utah Hockey Club for Inaugural Season Ticketing

SeatGeek has officially announced its partnership with the National Hockey League’s newest franchise, the Utah Hockey Club, to manage ticketing for the team’s inaugural season. As the official ticketing partner, SeatGeek will provide comprehensive ticketing solutions for all home games at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

This partnership marks SeatGeek’s second collaboration with an NHL team, following its established relationship with the Florida Panthers. Additionally, it strengthens SeatGeek's ongoing alliance with Smith Entertainment Group (SEG), which also owns the NBA’s Utah Jazz. It is noteworthy that the Utah franchise previously operated as the Phoenix Coyotes, although the team’s name and history will not be transferred to the new organization in Salt Lake City.

“Professional sports bring communities together, and as we expedite the launch of the Utah Hockey Club, we are committed to creating a fan experience that is unparalleled,” said Chris Barney, President of Revenue and Commercial Strategy at Smith Entertainment Group. “Our partnership with SeatGeek exemplifies our shared vision of innovation and our focus on placing fans at the center of every decision we make.”

Using SeatGeek’s SaaS platform, Unify, the Utah Hockey Club has efficiently set up events and managed ticket deposits, achieving an impressive milestone of 32,000 deposits within just 30 days. SeatGeek’s platform not only facilitates ticket sales but also provides partners with tools to optimize inventory and enhance fan engagement.

“This partnership represents an exciting milestone for SeatGeek as we expand our presence in the NHL with the addition of the Utah Hockey Club,” said Russ D’Souza, Co-founder and President of Supply at SeatGeek. “We are eager to leverage our technology to enrich the fan experience and support the club’s operational success.”

SeatGeek continues to grow its portfolio in the sports industry, currently partnering with six NFL teams, three NBA teams, two NHL teams, and several clubs across Major League Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League, and the English Premier League. This latest partnership underscores SeatGeek's commitment to enhancing the sports ticketing experience for fans and organizations alike.
